Kiana Gonzalez-Cedeño (she/her/ella) is a new PhD Student in the Department of English at Michigan State. She holds a BA in Spanish, Language, Literature, and Culture from the University of North Florida, and recently obtained her MA in Hispanic Literature at Michigan State. She has presented her research in numerous conferences, including the Congreso Internacional de Literatura Hispánica and the Northeastern MLA Conference. She is interested in the representation of the Hispanic Woman in Literature and Popular Culture, and the Female Migration Story, focusing on the effects if trauma and how that plays a role in the construction of identity.
