Soohyun Cho (she/her) specializes in health humanities, disability studies, digital humanities, with a particular interest in cognitive approaches to fiction. Her current book project delves into neurodivergent detective figures across Anglophone and East Asian popular culture. As a digital humanist, she investigates patterns in audience responses to portrayals of autistic-coded characters. As a Mellon postdoctoral fellow, she researches how people have turned to creativity during the pandemic, culminating in online and nationwide exhibitions that work to set a new standard for accessibility. Cho explores how shared acts of creativity bring together individuals from diverse communities, revealing their significance for health and well-being.
