B.A. in English with a Concentration in Film Studies
The concentration in film studies blends part of the foundational work in literary studies, foundational work in film studies, and advanced work in film criticism and theory. Students graduate with a B.A. in English, but their diplomas note their dedicated commitment to film studies. Students begin with two courses in literary studies and then take five courses in film studies, leaving room for three additional courses in either film studies or literary studies. Graduates of this program are ready for graduate school in film studies, entry-level jobs in the film industry, or work in fields like advertising, public relations, and software development that draw upon their skills in visual studies, film language, and critical writing.
